Separatists call for protests on Fri in solidarity with Kathua Muslims

Separatists have called for protests after Friday prayers in solidarity with Kathua Muslims, who were allegedly victimized recently, in Jammu region.

Strongly condemning the alleged attack on Kathua Muslims, a joint statement issued by both the factions of Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) urged people to hold peaceful protests after prayers on Friday when they have also called for a general strike for two days.

“Hapless Muslims are living under the stigma of fear psychosis for the last 70 years as their ancestors have been butchered mercilessly,” the statement alleged.

It said that those raising throatful cries on the plight of Jammu Muslims, should introspect to see the mutilated face of their past.

“Our communal harmony and age old interfaith brotherhood should not be mistaken as our weakness as we can never tolerate any attempt on our existence and unity,” the statement said.
