In the ongoing Sarbat da Bhalla Hockey tournament which is being conducted with the approval of Hockey India and with the active cooperation of J&K Sports council. The whole tournament is being monitored and supervised by the officials of Hockey India. Four matches were played today. The yesterday’s left over match which was abandoned due to heavy rains played today in which SGPC Amritsar beats Roundglass Hockey Club Chandigarh by 2-1. Mr Karandeep Singh gole keeper of SGPC team was declared man of the match.
2nd match was played between Bathinda XI & Vijay Club Baramula in which Bathinda XI drubbed Vijay club by 11-1, Aman Thakur of Bathinda XI was adjudged Man of the match. S Inder
In third match palyed in between YB Hockey Club Sujjanpur & GNN Hockey Club Jammu where Saujjanpur defeated GNN by 5-0. Sachin Dung dung was declared as man of the Match.
S. Inder Sing Sudan Ex Corporator JMC was the Chief guest and S Paramjit Singh was the guest of honour in the first match, while Er Gurmeet Singh retd MD PDD, and former national Player was the Chief guest and Mr Sumit Gupta MD Aradheya Aryan Construction was the guest of honour of the 2nd match of the day.
The 3rd and final match played between Power House Poonch & Sangar Sales Hockey Club Anantnag in which Power house won with margin of 14-0. S Sawraj Singh of Poonch Club was adjudged as man of the Match.
Dr Taran Singh former Gen Secretary Hockey J&K was the Chief guest of Honour and S Indpal Singh former National Hockey player was the guest of honour of the fourth and Final match of the day.
Some prominent personalities who were present in the guest gallery are S. Joga Singh former national player, S Angad Siungh, S P P Singh, S M.S Reen, S Satinder pal Singh Banto, S Gurdeep Singh, S Jaswinder Singh, S Bayant Singh former hockey player etc. Special team of Doctors was deputed by CMO Jammu.
As per fixture tomorrows matches are as under , First match shall be played between Kashmir Wanderes v/s Bandu Rakh Club at 9.0 AM, 2nd match between Srinagar XI and Khalsa Club Gole Gujral at 3.45 PM and third and final of the day shall be played between Power House Poonch and J&K Police at 5.45 PM.
