Three Multi-Nutrient Block (MNB) distribution programmes wereheldfor livestock farmers of districtPulwama,Budgam and Bandiporaon 15th, 18th and 20th March, 2024, respectively by Division of Animal Nutrition, FVSc& AH, SKUAST-Kashmirin collaboration with KVKs of Pulwama and Budgam and Development Departments (Animal/Sheep) of district Bandiporasponsored underNational Livestock Mission, Dept. of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Govt. of India funded project “Sustainable livelihood improvement of resource poor farmers through livestock productivity augmentation by standardization and popularization of value-added animal feed supplements in Kashmir Himalayas. Value-addedmulti-nutrient blocks prepared under the said project were distributed free of cost among fifty livestock(dairy and sheep) farmers ineachof the districtduring 2nd Phase of the project.On the occasions, farmers also gave the feedback on feeding of MNBs distributed during 1st phase and expressed their full satisfaction regarding the use of MNBs in improving the health and productivity of their animals and were in full praises for the efforts of the Division of Animal Nutrition, FVSc& AH, SKUAST-K in popularizing the technology at the field level for addressing the issues of the end users.
