Police in Awantipora under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2023-2024 inaugurated Martyrs memorial T20 knockout Cricket Tournament at DPL Awantipora.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmad Zargar besides ASP Awantipora, SDPO Tral other officers were also present. 16 teams from various areas of Police District Awantipora are participating in the tournament. The inaugural match was played between Mantaqi Awantipora Vs Jhelum Cricket club Reshipora.
SSP Awantipora while interacting with the players expressed that J&K Police is on fore front in organizing various sports events as it brings positive energy in the youth & competitive spirit, good health and keeps the individual away from the negative forces. He further stated that more such sports activities shall be organized in the Police District Awantipora in future.
