The Impact of Technology on Health

September 07, 2020 | Feroz Ahmad Dar

It is an undeniable fact that modern technological and scientific inventions have provided man with innumerable facilities, the man of this nuclear age has all the facilities that could not have been imagined a hundred years ago. In the history of the world, the standard of human life has never changed so quickly nor has it risen as much as it has in this age. ۔ The question arises as to whether what these inventions and products have provided to man is really useful to man. Various studies have shown that a large human population suffers from emotional imbalances, anxiety and anxiety disorders, which have led to the rise in blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease, in particular. Due to the radical change in lifestyle, heart diseases are becoming more prevalent among the youth..

The average person estimates that obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure increase the risk of heart disease, but there are also factors that can lead to life-threatening "heart attacks." Excessive worry or anxiety, stress, poor working hours and unhealthy food, alcohol, drug use and smoking all cause heart disease. Cardiologists emphasize the cause of heart disease in young people and emphasize that today's young people are away from exercise, etc., and stay up all night and do meaningless work on the computer, sleep. Failure to meet and most of all, the habit of eating fast food and eating it untimely, these are the reasons that lead to high blood pressure in adolescence due to poor diet in the arteries. This can also lead to a heart attack at any time. It should also be borne in mind that young people in families with hereditary heart disease must adhere to their eating and sleeping and exercise hours. In any case, to live a good and quality life, punctuality, less food and simple food should be an important part of your life. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, "Food should be eaten with some appetite in the stomach", while young people eat so much that it becomes a source of discomfort for them. It also happened. Cardiologists from across the country expressed concern and called on young people to change their lifestyles. Inadequate Lifestyle The common opinion of doctors was that most heart attack patients who come to them are between the ages of 19 and 23. According to a study conducted in various countries , smoking has become common among the youth instead of decreasing. They sit for hours in front of computers, televisions and gadgets of various sports, which increases the level of stress in them and increases the pressure on the heart due to discomfort. If a young person is examined by a doctor, his blood pressure is not normal. If they are prescribed pills to control the condition, do not use them sparingly. It is more dangerous that you suffer from high blood pressure and you should neither abstain nor reduce the use of salt and oil. Instead, don't give up on all the unnecessary habits that cause angina first. Angina warns you to recover, heart attack is coming, it is a kind of knock to improve your lifestyle. Don't use junk food and drinks with video games sitting on the computer all night, but this hobby has become a hobby of young people.
Apart from this there are many thing which can lead such kind of death taking disease. To quote me here, social media is leading amongst them. Social media has gripped our social life in its iron claws for the last one and a half decades. After the advent of smartphones, the use of social media has also increased rapidly in India and India is currently the leading importer of smartphones in one of the countries in the world, but our tragedy is that they are obsessed with every new invention and promote its negative use.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the other social networking sites were created to bring together people from all over the world to promote world peace, but our young generation took them as a 'parallel life', where Everyone hides their true identity, puts on masks and makes Mr. and Miss Perfect, which has increased the psychological and mental disorders in the new generation because people are not ready to accept themselves with their flaws, therefore their own and close ones. Distances from relationships have increased and people are busy on smartphones instead of sitting together and talking at home.
Excessive use of mobile phones is also having a negative effect on the brain. Decreased endurance has led to a sharp rise in the rate of depression and anxiety in the younger generation, but instead of getting rid of them, we are addicted to social media. Without them, our lives would be incomplete.
On the other hand, the parents of the new generation also prefer to spend time on social media and mobile instead of fulfilling their responsibilities properly and paying attention to their children, which is a red signal of more serious psychological disorders than depression and anxiety in the next generation.
Experts say that this rate is increasing the fastest in the world in India, as it is gripping its speed in our valley as well.
In Jammu and Kashmir the population like any other developing community, is undergoing lifestyle changes but the unusual stress and strain for the last 15 years of the disturbed situation in the state apparently has contributed to increase the threat of heart attacks. Since August 5, when the government imposed strict restrictions following the abrogation of provisions of Article 370, there has been a rise in cases of heart attacks in Kashmir valley, doctors say. The situation has been further exacerbated due to the communication blackout that has hit the patient care the most.
Ten or fifteen years ago, heart disease was considered a problem in older people, but the statistics of the past decade tell a different story.
There are some golden rules that can be used to prevent a heart attack from occurring. For this, completely abstain from smoking and drugs. Eat healthy and balanced foods, keep your thinking positive, reduce anger, participate in exercise or sports, get enough sleep, and keep in touch with your doctor about your sugar, cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. Take the medicine as directed by the doctor and strictly.
