The Treasure inside You!

January 16, 2021 | Yasir Nazir Parrey

Almighty Allah engendered this vast universe, sculptured the behemoth oceans and sky touching mountains, adorned this mesmerizing world with scintillating stars, sun and moon, inhabited the innumerable myriads of flora and fauna and most importantly evolved the cream of the creation- the mankind with some definite purpose. Among all the creations, mankind was given the highest superiority with a purpose that they will pray, avow gratitude and make this world as the haven for peace, happiness and brotherhood. Nothing in this world has been made futile and so not even the single human being. Everybody has been sent here with some definite purpose and embellished with some trait and knack that he can identify, understand and operate in a manner to contribute constructively towards the society. What happens most of the times is that we humans forget and even fail to recognize the purpose and reason of our creation and let ourselves at the fate of circumstances and the control of other people who somehow exploit our hidden treasures for their covetous benefits. It cannot be denied even that humans sometimes become the victims of frustration, anxiety, depression and sorrows but it is not the human nature and fate to remain absorbed and beleaguered always by these awry situations. Allah (SWT) has bestowed the pulchritudinous mankind with an unprecedented and verdant gift of brain with the galore power of cognition, contemplation and perspicacity.

To live the life verdantly, happily and satisfactorily, one needs to contemplate and reflect explicitly on the purpose of his creation. This is the very first jewel, one needs to think of so that all the virtues and powers will get disinterred which will ultimately ignite and wide open the beautiful and enthusiastic doors of life. Irrespective of religious confinements, it is an undeniable truth that every single being has been created with a fundamental purpose to serve the humanity in one way or other. To elucidate the term purpose more in the sense of survival, it manifests the realization of personal and social obligations, principles and feelings that synchronize concomitantly and bring up the chaste and imperturbable harmony in the worldly as well as the life after resurrection. The purpose of life and existence becomes comprehensive and ostensible only when a person uses his limitless power of perspicacity, acumen and of course the power of contemplation in a positive and constructive way. This perspicacity can be deciphered here as the distinguishing power of the mind that enables a person to differentiate between good and bad, constructive and destructive and more importantly all the responsibilities, duties and obligations of personal, religious, political and socio-economic realms of life. Thus it becomes clearly evident that perspicacity leads to the identification of purpose. History is full of the citations where this indomitable power of perspicacity revolutionized the human civilizations and it is this verdant quality of human mind which led to the discoveries, inventions and explorations beyond the dominions of human cognizance. The virtue of perspicacity or discernment becomes fruitful only when you feed your conscious and sub-conscious mind with positive, meek and empathetic thoughts. The cognitive power of mind has a peculiarity that it amplifies and dilates its effect when it is used to think for accomplishing the amelioration, development, prosperity and peace for all the social milieus. So it becomes imperative that when our purpose of living is for the betterment and brotherhood, our perspicacity leads us to achieve the predetermined goals and if our aim of living is ego-centric and snowballing the material wealth or covetous benefits, our mind gets filled with rancour, greed, ill-will and schadenfreude and this kind of thinking leads to the devastation of personal and social life.
With the realization of purpose by virtue of constructive thinking, one can rely and operate the practical actions in all the domains of his or her predestined targets of life. Practice or action are the real life acts or efforts one puts on to transcend or accomplish the desires, obligations and duties of personal, social and religious life. Our course of actions or efforts embody and comply to our purpose and perspicacity or thoughts. So it becomes clear that when our purpose is real and congruent, our perspicacity enables us to fabricate and employ the modus operand that becomes the paradigm of enthusiasm, empathy and indomitable will and enables us to pacify and surpass the obfuscations of economic, career, relationship, socio-political acceptance and psychological predicaments. All our actions somehow are associated with risks but wise and successful are those who take calculated risks. Well it is not necessary that all our actions will yield the results in a jiffy rather it should be our belief that all our actions are going to produce their ensuing effect one day as our cause was real and virtuous. It should be carved on the mind and heart that there is no shortcut for success. It is imperative and indispensable that you burn your midnight oil to achieve all that you have longed for and all that you think is important for the peace of your life. But it should be remembered that sometimes there is a delay in realizing the results or the yields can be clandestine. This is the critical juncture where most of the people become hapless, hopeless and depressed as they consider their actions faulty and accept it as a failure. Bethink that there are no failures in life, only lessons. Now the fourth jewel of verdant life that is patience comes into play which manifests that how much your purpose is real, how your perspicacity helps you to remain determined, peaceful and stuck to your cause. Patience is actually the long term conglomeration and exhibition of a galore lessons, tests and awry situations that you have gone through and how you have acted in that very circumstances. It is the patience and honesty of the purpose that determines the future success of failed ones and the failure of the successful ones as both the characters have to show patience at every walk of life. Failures make your life full of lessons and fortunate are those who derive the strategies and answers to their current and future problems of life from the past life experiences. This all becomes possible only when you possess and display the exorbitant patience and determination. Well it is an exigent need of the hour that we should bedeck our lives with superabundant patience so that our purpose, perspicacity and practice club in a harmonious way to take us to the magnanimous heights and realms of successful and satisfactory life. In brevity it is should be remembered that these four jewels viz purpose, perspicacity, practice and patience will take you onward, upward and Godward as Almighty reveals in the glorious Quran that “ Hopelessness is the trait and attribute of devilism”.
