Turkey expels 6000 people in connection with failed coup attempt

Turkey has expelled 6000 people in connection with the failed coup attempt. It was mid July of 2016 when the coup attempted failed in Turkey. It that incident almost 240 people were killed. Yesterday around 6000 people were dismissed which includes 2687 police officers, 1,699 officials from the justice ministry, 838 civil servants, 649 people from academics and 135 officials from the religious affairs directorate. Till now more than 40,000 people have been arrested by the Turkish government on suspicions of having links to Gulen and the failed coup attempt.
