Two residential houses were damaged in a nocturnal fire incident at Narbal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official confirmed that fire broke out late in the night in one of the residential houses in Kali Mohallah Narbal.
Soon after noticing the flames, locals and police reached to the spot and informed the Fire and Emergency Services department following which the fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.
He said that two houses belonging to Ali Mohammad Kaloo son of Mohammad Sultan Kaloo and Mushtaq Ahmad Handroo son of Abdul Wahaab Handroo were gutted in the massive blaze and property worth lakh was reduced to ashes.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
