Jammu, June 1: NSS SMVDU organized cycle rally on the theme Sundays on Cycles and celebrate World Bicycle Day. The initiative was to promote healthy lifestyle among all in today's time, where most of the people facing health issues due to lack of physical activities. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar was the chief guest of the event and also participated in the rally as a cyclist and motivated everyone to add cycle in their daily life. NSS programme coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar welcomed the participants to the event. More than 50 participants were there including faculty, staff and children of the campus. Participants covered a distance of 3 Km. in the rally. Faculty and staff members including Prof. Suparn Sharma, Dr. Rakesh, Dr. Ram Parkash, Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, Dr. Vikram Singh, Dr. Pabitra Jena,Dr. Madhu Mangal, Dr. Sudesh, Dr. Kamaldeep, Dr. Pradeep Singh, Mr. Avdhesh, Mr. Munish, Mr. Pankaj, Mr. Balbeer participated in the said event. Refreshments were also served to all the participants. NSS volunteers Sadhvi Sharma, Ashtbhuja, Avinash, Chandan and Sunandan coordinated the event.
