Why I Love My Village ?

May 15, 2025 | Fatima Batool

My village is a peaceful and friendly place. It is a quiet corner of the world where I find peace, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The most important attraction of my village is its natural beauty and greenery. My village is not just a place; it is like a living poem written by time. It breathes in peace and exhales purity. I love my village because it is where the world slows down just enough for the soul to catch up. People still smile without any reason. It’s not just my home—it’s my heartbeat.
The name of my village is AWANEERA, located in the Shopian district of Kashmir. It is very beautiful and is surrounded by apple orchards. There are about 600 houses in my village. The people here are kind and helpful to one another. There are three schools and many mosques in the village. Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. The community is close-knit, and everyone knows each other by name. Neighbours often share stories, celebrate festivals together, and support one another in times of joy and sorrow.
My village lacks unnecessary dullness and prefers to find happiness in small things. People support each other during hard times and celebrate together during good times. Unlike city life, where people can often be self-centered, people in my village are generous and united. There is no discrimination between the rich and the poor. Everyone lives in harmony. The sky is clear and blue, the air is fresh and unpolluted, and the surroundings are calm and quiet. All these things make my village a paradise on earth.
In conclusion, my village is a place full of scenic beauty and kind-hearted people. It offers a lifestyle completely different from the chaos of city life—simple, peaceful, and refreshing. The way people live here gives me real happiness. It reminds those in cities that true happiness doesn’t always come from money or luxury, but from love, unity, and a simple life. This is why I love my village the most.
