Srinagar, July 25: Aijaz Hassan a resident of Alochi Bagh Srinagar has been conferred with the State Award for the Outstanding Sports Person on 25th July 2022.
He has been awarded in recognition of his contribution in the field of sports. The boy with extraordinary sports talent is a Wushu player now who has played a series of State, National, and International tournaments during his sports journey & for his determination he has recently been appointed as a Coach in Khelo INDIA Centre Handwara.
“He won many gold, silver, and bronze medals and made not only the valley but his country proud. It is pertinent to mention that he represented the country in the International Wushu Championship In 2017 held at Armenia Europe where he Bagged Gold medal for the country and became the ist ever person among kashmiri to represent INDIA in (Wushu Discipline).
While talking, He thanked His Parents,coach "Late Farooq Ahmad”, Mr Kuldeep Handoo (Ceo & Chief Coach Of India),Mr Maqsood Rather (Joint Secretary Wushu Association Of J&k), Wushu Association Of INDIA,Wushu Association of J&K, Mr Nisar Hussain (President Awardee),Mr Rameez Ahmad, Mr Irfan Wani & his Students which had played and fruitful hand in his career.
He specially thanked J&K sports Council as far him, sports council have always supported him & without their support he wouldn't have been reached this level.
