Assam Rifles holds CSO interaction in Jiribam

Jiribam, May 18: Assam Rifles organised an interaction with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Village Authorities, and an aggrieved family at Dollang in Jiribam district of Manipur on May 17, 2026, aimed at strengthening civil-security cooperation and supporting the local population during a sensitive period.
The meeting brought together representatives from local civil bodies and community leaders, who discussed key issues related to security, peace, and overall community welfare in the region.
During the interaction, Assam Rifles expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and extended support in their time of grief. The force reiterated its commitment to standing with the local populace and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.
Officials highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue between security forces and civil society to address concerns at the grassroots level and to promote mutual understanding in conflict-affected areas.
The discussions also emphasized the need for communal harmony, trust-building, and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to maintain long-term peace and stability in the region.
The interaction concluded with a shared commitment from all participants towards peace, unity, and enhanced cooperation between the security forces and the local community.
