Assam Rifles holds medical camp in Nagaland

Kiphire , Aug 5: Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Thongsonyu village in Kiphire district of Nagaland on August 4, reaffirming its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to people living in remote areas.
The camp was led by Assistant Commandant Pritam Das, ARMO, along with a medical team that conducted general health check-ups, treated patients suffering from common ailments and distributed free medicines to villagers.
Besides providing medical care, the team also organised an awareness session on personal hygiene, sanitation, preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices, encouraging residents to adopt better health habits and seek timely medical attention.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, with special focus on the healthcare needs of women, children and elderly citizens.
Village Council members and local residents appreciated the initiative, describing it as a significant step in improving healthcare access in the remote border region.
Officials said the outreach programme reflects Assam Rifles' continued commitment to community welfare, humanitarian service and strengthening civil-military relations through regular health and welfare initiatives in underserved areas.
