Srinagar: The three-time Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, former Union minister and opposition National Conference President Farooq Abdullah who has been detained under Public Safety Act met her wife Molly Abdullah who lives in London and had donated her kidney to him in 2014.
Reliable sources said that authorities permitted her to meet her husband Farooq Abdullah and son Omar Abdullah.
Besides hundreds of leaders from different political parties, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have also been detained. Farooq is spending his time under contentious PSA at his Gupkar residence while Omar has been lodged at Hariniwas.
Molly, a nurse, married Farooq Abdullah in the 1960s. She met Farooq Abdullah while he was studying medicine in United Kingdom. The couple have three daughters Sara, Safia and Hinna and son Omar Abdullah.
Molly lives in London with her second daughter Hina Abdullah. Sara is married to Congress leader Sachin Pilot and Safia to a local businessman in the Valley. Omar Abdullah has separated from his wife Payal, who lives with their sons Zamir and Zahir in Delhi.
National Conference party sources said that besides Molly, Sara Abdullah too met Omar Abdullah.
Last time it was in September that both Molly and Sara had met Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. (KNT)
