An anchor expressed his anguish in this manner on one of the channels of Pakistan TV. This is yet another example of Pakistan missing the woods for the trees. "Are bhaijaan, agar yeh baatchhupibhirehti tab bhi to sharmindgi ki baat this..." Another anchor reacts. He adds- "Army Chief ka kya yeh kaam hots hai ki bheekh manta phire? Ek tarafkahtehain ki Army ka siyasat se koi Lena denanahin our Chief sahab khud dollars keliye phone kartephirrahehain." The deplorable economic condition of Pakistan is deteriorating faster with every day delay of the IMF bailout package. The precarious political situation has shown the green flag to early elections which will be a dirty tug of war. These conditions may put a spoke in the much awaited IMF tranche which Pakistan desperately needs. The "imported hukumat" which has been decimated to a name sake government limited to the capital city after losing Punjab elections does not have the credibility hence the real government of Pakistan; the Army had to step in. It's Chief is now making desperate calls to other countries for doles. Apart from making calls for alms, the Pakistan Chief did something else also to improve the economy; Reports say that he 'sold' Al Zawahris location to the US in return of some dollars. Though as always, the factory of lies called the ISPR denies the report, the sudden improvement Pakistani rupee against the US dollar by around 28 Rupees suggests that Pakistan Army did infact snitch. Pakistan Army Chief speaking to other countries for financial help has further
undermined the credibility of Pakistan as a nation. People opine that Army is playing ball with the shrewd politicians only because the financial situation of the country is pathetic otherwise Pakistan Army would have taken over the government. However, in the current situation it knows that Martial Law would be the last nail in Pakistan's coffin. Pakistan Army has survived in spite of its humiliating defeats in wars and breakup of Bangladesh on the anti India plank......"Bharat HamlaKarne Wala Hai" is the trick that always works in Pakistan. Hence, while Pakistan is nearing default, the Army budget has not budged. The budget that comes in the Army is comfortably used to recruit, train and equip jehadis for Kashmir. The estimated one billion that Pakistan Army and 151 spends on jehadis and nefarious operations in Afghanistan may perhaps help to some extent, in improving Pakistan"s economy but they are in self destructive mode. Pakistan Army is perhaps most unique in the world. It's operational rooms has two maps, the operational map and the political map. Their focus always stayed onthe political map hence they lost East Pakistan. And now they are about to lose Balochistan. The responsibility of recent chopper crash that killed a Corps Commander and five others in Balochistan has been owned by Baloch RaajiAajoi Sangar (BRAS) an umbrella organization of Baloch armed rebel groups. Few days back the Baloch Freedom Fighters had abducted and killed a Lt Colonel. On the other side, the TTP has gained a powerful and equal position vis a vis Pakistan Army. It is high time that Pakistan dismantled its terror infrastructure and focused on its internal security and economic problems. Obsession with Kashmir, anti India stance and use of terrorism as a state policy has brought Pakistan on the verge of collapse.
