108-foot national flag unveiled in Mizoram

Aizawl, Dec 25: A 108-feet-tall National Flag was inaugurated at Zokhawsang, Aizawl, Mizoram, in a grand ceremony attended by top dignitaries. The event was presided over by General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Mizoram Home Minister K. Sapdanga and Maj Gen Ashim Kohli, SM (Retd), Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) and CEO of the Flag Foundation of India. The installation of the towering flag marks a significant patriotic landmark in the state, reflecting the nation’s pride and unity.
The event was conducted with a sense of solemnity and celebration, highlighting the importance of national symbols in fostering unity and patriotic sentiment among citizens. The governor, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the role of the national flag in inspiring respect, responsibility, and love for the country.
