
The 12th UT Tennikoit Championship 2025, organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Tennikoit Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, concluded at the Sports Stadium in Pahalgam with high energy and sportsmanship. MLA Abdul Majeed Larmi (Anantnag West) served as Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. Also present were Mr Mohd Isaq (Co Chairman, Tennikoit Federation of India), Mrs Kausar Jabeen (Secretary, JKTA), Mr G.A. Beigh (Patron, JKTA), and Mr Ishtiyaq Amin, Organising Chairman.
Over 200 players from districts including Pulwama, Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Shopian, Udhampur, Anantnag, Kulgam and Kupwara participated, showcasing skill, teamwork and discipline. The third day matches featured intense competition and also doubled as selection trials for the upcoming Sub Junior & Junior National Championships.
The event underscored Tennikoit’s growing popularity in Jammu & Kashmir and spotlighted the region’s emerging talent in the sport.
