16 more sent home after completing quarantine

16 persons whose travel history had been traced and were put under 14-day quarantine in Srinagar were sent back home on Wednesday after completing the quarantine period, officials sources said.
As soon as the people came out of the Srinagar private hotel on Boulevard road, where the administration had put them in quarantine after arriving from different parts of India, they were ferried to their respective districts of the Valley in state transport buses.
“These people were quarantined and lodged in two hotels. No one among them developed flu-like symptoms. They all were tested and found negative,” an official said .
These 16 persons hail from different parts of Kashmir Valley.
Kashmir reported its first coronavirus positive case on March 18 last month and since then there is spike in these cases.
There are total 371 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir among which 71 have recovered while 5 have died. Bandipora has 71 active positive cases, followed by Srinagar 54, Baramulla 41, Kupwara 28, Shopian 30, Ganderbal 14, Budgam 5, Kulgam 6, Pulwama 2, Anantnag 8, Jammu 22, Udhampur 14, Samba 4 and Rajouri 1.
