Two brothers were killed in a road accident in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Two brothers, Pawan Kumar (24) and Mukesh Kumar (29), lost their lives in the road accident when their Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) bearing registration number JK21G-7500 skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Khellani nallah late last evening.
Officials said the brothers were traveling from their Brartha-Khellani residence to Pull Doda when the accident occurred.
Local rescuers rushed to the scene and found both brothers dead on the spot. Their vehicle was severely damaged in the accident.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital Doda and after completion of legal formalities, they were handed over to the family for last rites.
Meanwhile, a man died while three others sustained injuries in a car accident in Bani Basholi area in Kathua district. The accident occurred near Bodhi Manir.
