Organizing Secretary of this event Nisar hussain, Vice president of Taekwondo Association Of J&K and president of Kashmir wing organised Open Taekwondo Championship 2022 for different age groups. The JKTA also supported to make this event grand success .The two day event kicked off on 16th of July and was scheduled to end on 17th of July. The event witnessed many participants from Pahalgam, Baramulla and from many clubs /schools including New Convent school hyderpora , Holy Faith presentation school rawalpora etc, this event also included the participants from Khelo India Center.
Chief guests were also present at this event , at the time of opening ceremony including Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary (Chief executive officer , Administrative Secretary Of Tribal Affairs Department) , Nuzhat Gul( Secretary of Jk Sports Council) did the medal ceremony. Dr. Mohamad Akbar khan( Professional Cyclist, State Awardee, member sports council )and many more dignitaries like Gul Mustafa Dev(First Olympian ) , Umar Hamza (Judo Coach, Junior, Sub-junior and senior National Medalist) and many more . At the time of closing ceremony Cheif Guests including Rouf Ahmad Bhat ( sports promoter ,trade union leader ,), Advocate Nelofer Masood( JKTA Joint Secretary, President At District Baramulla Taekwondo Association) and many other dignitaries like Mr. Roshan khayal (advocate ,sports journalist) , chairman of Kashmir harward, vice chairman of holy faith presentation school ,Sadia Tariq ( international Gold medalist at Moscow Wushu Stars Championship) Munaza Ghazi( Wushu Gold Medalist) , bareena sub junior bronze medalist in boxing etc , and many other coaches like Rameez Ah. Dar (wushu coach khelo india center shopian ) , Maqsood Ahmad Rather (general secretary of wushu association District Srinagar) , Faisal Shafi Taekwondo ( Instructor) Gindun stadium , Aijaz Hassan (coach wushu,state awarde,intl medalist) , Rohit Sharma( Coach of khelo India Taekwondo Centre) , Nissar Hussain ( JKTA vice president, president of District Srinagar Taekwondo association).
The demonstration of the game Taekwondo was also given by the Indoor Taekwondo Academy, (DSTA) and Khelo India Centre .
The guests presented the medals to all the achievers and also congratulated the players. They also said sports play a vital role in everybody's life and one should carry on playing. They also appreciated Nissar Hussain for making such events to boost the spirit of self defence in adults and besides developing leadership qualities among the talented players.
