Jammu, Jul 25: Two women were killed and five of their relatives were injured after a tempo traveller skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Doda district here on Saturday, officials said.

The incident took place near Jathali village when the driver of the vehicle, which was on its way to Doda from Mohalla, lost control, they said.
A rescue operation was launched immediately and seven persons travelling in the vehicle were evacuated and taken to hospital where Asha Devi (32), and her sister-in-law Meenakshi (30), were declared dead.
Devi's husband Ajay Kumar (35), and son Trisham (2), Meenakshi's husband Shiv Kumar and son Shivansh (2), and Naseeb Singh (35), were admitted to hospital and their condition was stated to be "serious", officials said.
