
Udhampur, Oct 2: The Ashmita Khelo India Wushu League was successfully organised by the District Udhampur Wushu Association at the Indoor Hall, Subhash Stadium, Udhampur, with enthusiastic participation from young women athletes from different schools and clubs.
Around 250 women athletes participated in the event, showcasing their talent, discipline and competitive spirit in Wushu. The event provided an important platform for young players to demonstrate their skills and gain valuable competition experience.
Sh. Ashok Kumar, Former Director Sports, SMVDSB and Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He interacted with the participating athletes and showered his blessings and encouragement on the young players, appreciating their dedication towards sports and fitness.
The organisers highlighted the importance of providing greater opportunities to women athletes at the grassroots level and encouraged the participants to continue working hard to achieve excellence in Wushu.
On the occasion, Sh. Vijay Sharma, President, Wushu Association of Udhampur; Sonia Verma, Secretary, Wushu Association of Udhampur; Yashpal, National Judge; Kriti Verma; Manvi; Karan Kumar; Pankaj Verma; Suresh; Anith Raina; and Shahil Manhas were present.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, officials, parents, schools and clubs for their valuable support in making the Ashmita Khelo India Wushu League a successful sporting event.
The event concluded with appreciation for the participating athletes and a renewed commitment to promoting women's participation in Wushu and sports across Udhampur.
