The future of thousands of students is at stake in Anantnag district as the management of over 450 private schools have failed to get their educational institutions registered from Board of School Education so far.
More than 450 private schools in Anantnag district are without having proper registration from Board of School Education (BOSE). The district has more than 600 private schools among them only 150 are registered.
Several parents have expressed their concern over the management of concerned schools and alleged that they are diverting their attention only in minting money and are playing with the future of students blatantly. They said “there are thousands of students studying in these educational institutions and no registration will cost heavy toll over their future which seems very much dark. Management is only concerned about how to make empty the pockets of parents whose wards are studying in their schools”.
District Private School Association (DPSA) said the issue has been raised many times to the education department but so far no action has been taken. They added the apathetic behavior of the officials will lead the future of thousands of students at stake.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag admitted that there are several educational institutions running without having registration from Board of School Education Department.
He admitted that the certificates or any other documents of these institutions are being sent back without counter signed or authorized by the Education Department.
He also said that all Zonal Educational Officers (ZEO’s) will be directed to send a detailed report so that the department will initiate legal action against these schools.
“The department will cease their right to run educational institute who are playing with the future of innocent students”, ZEO said. (JKNS)
