
The 6th District Yogasana Sports Championship concluded successfully at Sehpora Stadium Ganderbal. The championship, held on the 28th and 29th of November, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 150 athletes across the district, including young and senior Yogasana performers who showcased discipline, strength, and remarkable skills in competitive Yogasana.
The championship was organized by the District Ganderbal Yogasana Sports Association under the banner of the Jammu & Kashmir UT Yogasana Sports Association, while the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council served as the official sponsor. Their support played a vital role in the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
A total of 150 athletes participated in the Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior Girls categories, reflecting the growing popularity and commitment toward Yogasana sports in the district.
Distinguished guests at the event included Mr. Rahil Shafi, Manager Indoor Sports Stadium, who attended as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Showkeya Qadir, Ms. Saima Farooq, and Mr. Sahil Shafi, who were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Saima Farooq appreciated the hard work, dedication, and discipline of the young athletes. She emphasized that Yogasana plays an important role in enhancing physical strength, mental balance, and emotional stability.
National-level players and referees Mr. Waseem and Ms. Rutba also played a significant role during the event, adding value and prestige through their outstanding contributions.
