75 Bn, CRPF celebrated 84th CRPF Raising Day

75 Bn, CRPF celebrated 84th CRPF Raising Day with great zeal and fervour today on 27 July 2022 at Srinagar. Various cultural programmes, volleyball games, and tree plantations followed by Bara Khana were organized to mark the day's celebration.
During the programme, Sh K. K. Pandey, Commandant, 75 Bn took the Salute at Qarter-Guard and paid homage to CRPF Martyrs. While addressing the gathering Commandant Pandey shed light on the golden history of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) saying that it is the largest force in the world, he explained the role of the force in maintaining peace and harmony in the country. Not only the force is aware towards the security of people but also is determined towards its social responsibilities. The force personnel are performing their duties with great courage and attentiveness.
He congratulated force personnel & their families on this occasion, he also congratulated and announced the name of force personnel who received “Utkrisht Seva Padak & Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak” in recognition of their outstanding and meritorious service performed by them.
CRPF was raised on July 27, 1939 in Nimach of Madhya Pradesh as Crown Representative Police, After independence, its name was changed to Central Reserve Police Force. On October, 21, 1959, 10 CRPF personnel were martyred in the hot spring of Ladakh braving against China. Since then, the day is observed as “Police Commemoration Day”, Similarly, “Shaurya Diwas” is observed on April 09 remembering the brave CRPF personnel who fought against the Infantry Brigade of the Pakistan Army. During the occasion, the officials and personnel of CRPF did plantation followed by sports and games like Volleyball. The winning and runners-upteams were awarded on the hands of Shri Pandey, Commandant. In the evening hours, they enjoyed Bara Khana.
