Srinagar, Aug 22: A 76-year-old non-local man was found unconscious at Hanuman Mandir in Amira Kadal area of Srinagar and was later declared brought dead at SMHS Hospital, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Mahant Vishnu Dass, son of Baba Bajrang Dass, a resident of Uttar Pradesh who was presently residing at Durganag, Dalgate, Srinagar.
According to the police party of Police Station Shaheed Gunj, the man was found unconscious at the temple and was subsequently brought to SMHS Hospital for medical attention.
However, the attending doctor declared him brought dead.
The circumstances leading to his death are being ascertained.
