The District Administration Pulwama today organized a felicitation ceremony to encourage the J&K Floorball Team for their remarkable achievement as first runners-up in the 18th Floorball National Championship.
During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation, mementos along with cash prizes were distributed to the sportspersons in recognition of their outstanding performance and dedication.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom extended heartfelt congratulations to the participants, sportspersons, their parents and principals of various schools who attended the event. He commended the team for their hard work and determination, which brought pride to the region.
Addressing the gathering, the DC encouraged children to actively engage in co-curricular activities alongside academics. He lauded the achievements of the J&K Floorball Team and emphasized the importance of nurturing local talent to excel at state and national levels.
He also urged school principals to identify and groom promising talent within their institutions, assuring full support and cooperation from the district administration to facilitate their development and success.
