Jammu: The JKLF chairman Yasin Malik and senior leader Showkat Ahmad Bakshi who are detained appeared through ideo conferencing in the Air Force killing and Rubiya Sayed abduction cases that were listed for hearing in the TADA Court at Jammu Saturday.
The other accused who appeared in the court in person included Javaid Ahmed Mir, Muhammad Salim Nanaji, Javaid Ahmed Zargar, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, Engineer Ali Muhammad Mir, Wajahat Bashir Qureshi, Muhammad Iqbal Ghandro, Muhammad Zaman Mir and Mehraj Ahmed Sheikh.
The counsel for the accused Advocate Muhammad Aslam Ghoni and Yogesh Bakshi were present in the court. Malik is languishing in Tihar Jail while Showkat Bakshi has been lodged in a jail at Ambedkar Nagar Uttar Pradesh.
Two charge sheets have been filed by the CBI against the accused before the designated TADA court in Jammu. At least 3 FIR’s were lodged by Jammu Kashmir Police at police station Nowhata, MR Ganj and Shaheed Ganj in 1989 against the accused including Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The Court after hearing the arguments and counter arguments in the case related to the killing of Indian Air Force Personnel and abduction of Dr Rubiya Sayeed listed the case for next hearing on January 11 next year.
