
It was a Senior State Championship cum trials for the upcoming senior national. We will get a chance to qualify for the upcoming national games through this senior national championship by making a spot in the top 8 teams. National games is one of the biggest sports event of our nation.
Afreen hyder ( Punit balan group athlete) has secured 1st position in the state championship and looks forward to qualify for national games also. Afreen who has also held an All india rank of number 1 and is counted amongst the top 100 of the world by making her spot into the world rankings also looks forward for a Gold in senior nation championship which is going to be held in Assam in 2nd week of September.
Afreen started her journey when she was just 7 years old.
Taekwondo has been her passion since then and she is working hard towards her goal.
She became the first ever official junior medalist in the history of jammu & Kashmir taekwondo in the year 2017.
She has won medals in various nationals and international competitions.
Last year she bagged a bronze medal in a grade 2 ranking event held in Israel. Early this year she clinched a medal in senior national championship held in Nashik Maharashtra.
Afreen is thankful to punit balan group who have provided her all the support through her journey and her coach Atul pangotra who has been a backbone in her taekwondo career.
