October 10, 2025 | Shugufta Rashid

The Army Goodwill Public School (AGPS) Pahalgam came alive with energy, creativity, and inspiration as it hosted the Innofest and Educational Rockstar Achiever’s Event in collaboration with the Bharti Airtel Foundation. The event was a celebration of innovation in education, providing a unique platform for students from various Army Goodwill Schools across Jammu and Kashmir to showcase their talents, creative ideas, and academic excellence.

The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response from students, teachers, and mentors. A total of 93 innovative projects were received from 21 Army Goodwill Schools.
35 exceptional projects were shortlisted for the Grand Exhibition, where students presented their models, research, and ideas addressing real-world challenges in fields such as technology, sustainability, health, and education.
Simultaneously, the Educational Rockstar Achievers Awards drew 102 submissions from 23 schools, celebrating excellence not only in academics but also in leadership, creativity, and social contribution. After a rigorous evaluation process, 31 finalists were shortlisted for the final jury round, where their dedication and innovative spirit were assessed through presentations and interactions with the expert panel.
The winners were chosen based on comprehensive evaluation criteria that included Vision and Objectives, Initiatives Taken, Challenges and Strategies, and Future Plans. These parameters encouraged students to think holistically about their projects—right from conception and planning to execution and sustainability.
The event’s atmosphere was electric, as students confidently explained their concepts and demonstrated a deep understanding of contemporary issues. Teachers and mentors expressed pride in witnessing the enthusiasm and commitment of their students, noting that such platforms help bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application.
Speaking at the event, representatives from the Bharti Airtel Foundation and the Army Goodwill Schools management lauded the participants for their innovative outlook and problem-solving mindset. They emphasized that education should go beyond textbooks and examinations, nurturing curiosity, collaboration, and creativity among young learners.
The Innofest and Rockstar Achievers’ initiative also highlighted the Army’s commitment to promoting quality education in remote and rural areas of Kashmir through its network of Army Goodwill Schools. By empowering students with opportunities to explore innovation and leadership, the Army continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of the region.
In her remarks, the principal of AGPS Pahalgam praised the collective efforts of students and teachers, noting that such programs foster confidence, teamwork, and a spirit of excellence.
The event concluded with the felicitation of Team Bharati Airtel, winners and participants.
Beyond the awards and recognition, the Innofest and Educational Rockstar Achievers’ Event stood out as a powerful reminder of how education, when blended with innovation and purpose, can transform lives and communities. It reinforced the message that today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders, capable of driving change and progress with their ideas, empathy, and vision.
