
Jammu, Feb 3: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Jammu and Kashmir on a three-day tour starting February 5, during which he will review the security situation and hold high-level meetings.
Officials said Shah will meet the Lieutenant Governor, senior civil administration officials, and top officers of the armed forces and security agencies. Discussions are expected to focus on law and order, counter-terror operations, and overall security preparedness in the Union Territory.
The visit will include detailed briefings on the ground situation, ongoing peacekeeping measures, and coordination among various agencies. This will be Shah’s first visit to J&K this year, coinciding with heightened political activity and ongoing Assembly proceedings.
The visit is scheduled to conclude on February 7, with security arrangements being put in place ahead of his arrival.
