
Anantnag, July 14: The Cycle Association of Jammu & Kashmir (CAJK), in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and the District Anantnag Cycling Association, will organise the District Anantnag Road & MTB Cycling Championship 2026 on July 27 to identify talented cyclists for higher-level competitions.
The championship will begin at 10:00 AM, with the race starting from Larkipora Bridge and concluding at Shehlipora. The prize distribution and closing ceremony will be held at Government Middle School, Shehlipora.
The event will feature competitions in Under-14, Sub-Junior, Junior, Elite (Road Cycling) and Elite (Mountain Bike - MTB) categories.
Organisers have asked interested participants to report with their original Aadhaar Card, Domicile Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, two passport-size photographs, and bank account details along with the IFSC code.
The entry fee has been fixed at ₹100 for all categories, including Under-14, Sub-Junior, Junior and Elite.
According to the organisers, the first and second position holders in the Under-14 and Sub-Junior categories, and the first, second and third position holders in the Junior and Elite categories, will be considered for selection to represent Jammu and Kashmir in the Union Territory Cycling Championship, subject to the rules and regulations of the Cycle Association of Jammu & Kashmir.
