Of course, anger too easily or frequently mobilized can undermine relationships or damage physical health in the long term
"Being angry is like holding a piece of burning coal in your hand and
hoping the other person feels pain" Wendy Merron.Anger is one of the basic human emotions as elemental as happiness, sadness, anxiety or disgust. Anger is an intense emotion you feel when
something has gone wrong or someone has wronged you.
Anger is related to fight, flight or freeze response of the sympathetic nervous system, it prepares humans to fight. But fighting doesn't necessarily mean throwing punches. It might motivate
communities to combat injustice by changing laws or enforcing new norms.
Of course, anger too easily or frequently mobilized can undermine relationships or damage physical health in the long term. Prolonged release of the stress hormones that accompany anger can destroy neurons in areas of the brain associated with judgement and short-term
memory and weaken the immune system. Hormone responsible for anger is"Epinephrine or adrenaline" released by adrenal glands, surges at the time of panic and emergency. It provokes stress response and beings
out the arousal of extreme emotions like fear, anger or amusement. Emotions of anger are often held in our jaw and around the mouth.
Many things can trigger anger, including stress, family problems and financial issues. Some common anger triggers include personal problems such as missing a promotion at work or relationship difficulties, a
problem caused by another person such as cancelling plans, an event like bad traffic or getting in a car accident. For some people, anger is caused by an underlying disorder, such as alcoholism. Anger itself
isn't considered a disorder, but anger is a known symptom of several mental health conditions.
Anger is a connection to Love. A form of love. A form of love that means we stand up for others and for ourselves, we shout loudly that things are not ok, we protect other's, we take a stand and we fight
for What is right. It's a form of love.
In Some cases, anger is a healthy and necessary emotion. However, the manner in which a person acts on the anger may be problematic. If the anger arises because a person doesn't feel consistently understood bytheir partner, it may be justified. Raging anger may lead to physical abuse or violence. A person who doesn't control their temper can
isolate themselves from family and friends. Some people who fly into rages have low self-esteem and use their anger as a way to manipulate other's and feel powerful.
It might be surprising to know that Islam has rulings about getting angry; however, it is considered one of the evil Whispers of Shaytaan, the devil. It can lead to many bad events,. such as doing or saying
something without realising the consequence.
Let me tell you about the opinion of Prophet (SAW) about anger, the Prophet replied, "Do not become angry", and he repeated this three times. On the other occasion, the Prophet asked his companions, "Do you know who the strong person is?" His companions replied, "The one
who is able to wrestle other's down", The Prophet responded, "No, it is the one who is able to control their anger".
The Prophet of Allah said, "when one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down"...and those Who avoid the greater sins,
and illegal sexual intercourse, and when they are angry, they forgive". (Quran 42 : 36 & 37)
There are also many ways to overcome anger like;
Think before you speak
Once you are calm, express your anger
Get some exercise
Take a walk
Take a class you enjoy
Change your mindset
Think of a funny memory
Relaxation technique often work for lower intensity anger like frustration or annoyance, but with a feeling as high energy as rage, try to let that energy out in a safe way. Throw or break something(safely). Physically throwing something can relieve stress and be
helpful in the immediate moment."Anger doesn't solve anything. it builds nothing, but it can destroy everything"
