Kohima, Sep 12: Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps has successfully concluded a three-week Drone Cadre at Jalukie in Nagaland, focusing on advanced drone operations, aerial surveillance and tactical mission planning.

The training programme was aimed at enhancing the force's operational preparedness and strengthening the use of emerging technology in field operations. Personnel underwent specialised training in drone handling and deployment, surveillance techniques and mission-oriented aerial planning.
The cadre provided participants with practical exposure to drone-based operations, enabling them to better understand the capabilities of unmanned aerial systems in surveillance and situational awareness. The training also focused on integrating drone technology into tactical planning and operational decision-making.
The initiative forms part of Assam Rifles' broader efforts towards force modernisation and adoption of advanced technological capabilities. The growing use of drones has become an important component of contemporary security operations, particularly for monitoring difficult terrain and enhancing real-time situational awareness.
