Manipur, Oct 8: The three-day Mega Medical Camp organized by Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association, concluded on October 7, 2025, in Manipur, providing essential healthcare services to over 6,000 individuals across nine remote locations.

The camp offered free medical treatment, maternal and child healthcare services, and health education sessions aimed at raising awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices. Teams of doctors, paramedics, and Assam Rifles personnel worked together to ensure comprehensive care for patients, addressing both chronic and acute health issues.
Special attention was given to maternal care, including prenatal check-ups, immunization guidance, and counselling on safe childbirth practices. Health education sessions were conducted to empower local communities with knowledge about disease prevention, sanitation, and healthy lifestyle choices.
The initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to extend medical support to underserved and remote regions, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to community welfare and improving access to quality healthcare in Manipur.
