Mizoram | Sep 4: In an effort to ignite patriotism, courage, and a sense of duty among youth, the Assam Rifles conducted a series of motivational lectures and presentations on the heroic “Operation Sindoor”, engaging over 530 students and teachers across multiple educational institutions in Mizoram.
The flagship session was held on 27 August 2025 at Sainik School, Chhingchhip, Serchhip District, with earlier sessions conducted at Government College and Government Higher Secondary School in Champhai on 18 August 2025. The initiative aimed to instill a deeper understanding of national security operations, bravery, and the sacrifices made by security forces to safeguard the integrity of the nation.
During the sessions, Assam Rifles officers narrated the valiant story of “Operation Sindoor”—a counter-insurgency operation that exemplifies strategic brilliance, operational discipline, and unwavering commitment to national duty. The presentation included first-hand operational insights, videos, interactive discussions, and a Q&A session with the students.
The lecture also highlighted the role of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and security in the Northeast region and encouraged students to consider careers in the armed forces. Officers spoke about the values of selfless service, leadership, and patriotism, offering students a glimpse into the life and ethos of the men and women in uniform.
Students responded with overwhelming enthusiasm and curiosity, many expressing interest in joining the armed forces after the interaction. Teachers and school administrators lauded Assam Rifles for bringing real-life national defence narratives into classrooms, making learning both impactful and inspiring.
One of the students at Sainik School remarked, “Listening to the details of Operation Sindoor gave us goosebumps. It made us proud of our forces and motivated us to work hard and serve the country in whichever way we can.”
An Assam Rifles officer leading the program stated, “The youth of Mizoram are highly disciplined and motivated. Through these lectures, we hope to further channel their energy towards national service and inspire them to be responsible citizens and future leaders.”
These motivational sessions are part of Assam Rifles’ civic outreach and awareness campaign, aimed at fostering national integration, youth engagement, and spreading awareness about the armed forces’ role in ensuring national security
