AR distributes educational aid in Nagaland

February 23, 2026 | BK News Service

Shamator, Feb 22: The Shamator Battalion of Assam Rifles organised Educational Aid Distribution Programmes at schools in Langnyok and Aniyaksu villages along the Indo-Myanmar border, as part of its ongoing civic action and outreach initiatives in remote border areas.

The programme aimed to support students residing in far-flung villages by providing essential educational materials and fostering a conducive environment for learning. Officials highlighted that the initiative seeks to promote the importance of education as a foundation for personal growth, community development, and nation-building.
Local school authorities and community members welcomed the initiative, noting that such support motivates students to pursue their studies and reduces educational disparities in remote regions. The distribution included stationery, learning aids, and other educational resources tailored to the needs of schoolchildren.
Assam Rifles officials emphasised that these civic action programmes are part of a broader effort to strengthen civil–military cooperation, improve access to education, and empower youth in border areas. The initiative reflects the Corps’ commitment to holistic development, ensuring that children in remote locations receive the tools and encouragement necessary to achieve academic success and contribute positively to society.
The programme reinforced Assam Rifles’ enduring role in building trust and fostering development in North East India, bridging gaps between remote communities and opportunities for learning and growth.
