Peren, Nagaland, Dec 25: The 8th Winter Carnival Festival, organised by Assam Rifles under Spear Corps in collaboration with Progressive Peren (P2), drew over 600 locals to Peren, Nagaland, for a celebration of culture and community.

The festival featured performances by the Jazz Band and Pipe Band of Assam Rifles, adding a vibrant musical dimension to the event. Traditional cultural dances were also showcased, providing attendees with a glimpse into the rich heritage of the Zeliang community.
The event not only celebrated local traditions but also strengthened the bond between the armed forces and the local populace. Residents expressed their appreciation for the efforts of Assam Rifles in promoting cultural awareness and community engagement through such events.
Organisers said the festival serves as a platform to preserve and promote Nagaland’s diverse cultural legacy while fostering unity, festive spirit, and camaraderie among locals and visitors alike.
