Kohima, Oct 8: The Assam Rifles recently conducted a comprehensive Swachhta Abhiyan across six locations in Phek and Meluri districts of Nagaland, including Phek, Meluri, Akhen, New Thewati, Ziphu, and Avangkhu. The initiative was aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness among local communities.

Teams of Assam Rifles personnel, alongside community volunteers, actively participated in cleaning public spaces, including streets, marketplaces, and community centers. The drive also focused on educating residents about proper waste disposal, the importance of maintaining clean surroundings, and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
This effort is part of the Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to the national Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, reinforcing the importance of a cleaner and healthier environment.
