In a commendable initiative to foster unity and inclusivity among young minds, Assam Rifles organized an interactive session on “Religious Integrity and Diversity in India” at the Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Mantripukhri on Thursday.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 67 students of Classes 5 to 8, their teachers, and personnel of Assam Rifles. The session focused on celebrating India’s pluralistic identity and the vital role that religious harmony, mutual respect, and cultural inclusivity play in national integration.
Using storytelling, real-life examples, and open dialogue, the facilitators engaged students in understanding the constitutional values of secularism and the peaceful coexistence of diverse faiths that define the Indian ethos. The children were encouraged to ask questions, share their views, and reflect on how mutual respect can strengthen social fabric in multi-religious communities.
Faculty members praised the initiative as a timely and important effort to instill tolerance and understanding among future generations, especially in a diverse state like Manipur. Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nation-building beyond the battlefield, emphasizing the force's motto as “Friends of the North East People.”
The session concluded with a pledge by all attendees to uphold the values of respect, compassion, and unity in their daily lives.
