New Delhi, Nov 30: Assam Rifles (under Spear Corps) recently conducted a Medical & Wellness Camp at Moktowa village in Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh. A large turnout of women, children and elderly residents availed free health checkups, essential medicines, and health counselling.

The camp aimed to provide basic but vital medical services in a remote and underserved village — a region where access to healthcare is often limited or erratic. Medical staff carried out general examinations, treated common ailments, distributed medicines on the spot, and offered advice on hygiene, preventive care, and overall wellness.
Villagers expressed gratitude, especially for services extended to children and older adults — many of whom would otherwise have to travel long distances for care. By organising such outreach camps, Assam Rifles reaffirms its commitment not just to security, but to community welfare — building trust and relieving health burdens in remote border area communities of Arunachal Pradesh.
