Imphal, June 12: Demonstrating their continued commitment to humanitarian assistance and rapid emergency response, formations of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under Spear Corps carried out multiple medical relief operations across remote and underserved areas of the Northeast.

In Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang Valley, the Dao Division of the Indian Army organised a medical camp in a remote location, providing essential healthcare services to local residents who have limited access to medical facilities. The camp included general health check-ups, distribution of medicines, and basic medical consultations aimed at addressing immediate healthcare needs in the region.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles personnel extended prompt medical assistance in several emergency situations across Nagaland and Manipur. In Kiphire, a team responded swiftly to an incident involving an injured child, providing immediate first aid before ensuring further medical attention. In Mokokchung, Assam Rifles personnel assisted a road accident victim, stabilising the injured individual and facilitating timely medical support.
In a separate incident in Kamjong, Manipur, Assam Rifles troops provided life-saving first aid to two critically injured civilians. Given the severity of their condition, the victims were swiftly evacuated through coordinated land and air efforts to the Military Hospital in Leimakhong for advanced treatment.
Officials stated that these coordinated actions reflect the strong operational readiness and humanitarian commitment of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in responding to emergencies, particularly in remote and difficult terrains where timely medical assistance is often a challenge.
The swift response across multiple locations once again highlighted the role of the armed forces not only in maintaining security but also in supporting civilian populations through humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts.
