
Kohima/Pasighat, Oct 1: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, continued its community outreach initiatives by supporting youth through sports, skill development and career-oriented programmes in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
As part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, sports equipment was distributed to the Pfuchama Youth Organisation in Kohima district of Nagaland. The initiative aims to encourage young people to participate in sports and promote teamwork, discipline and healthy engagement.
In Arunachal Pradesh, a formation under Spear Corps felicitated selected APSSB aspirants and youth who successfully completed IT and Hospitality courses under Project SeVaA. The felicitation was held at the Veteran Seva Kendra in Pasighat under Operation Sadbhavana.
The initiatives are aimed at creating greater opportunities for youth while strengthening their participation in constructive and nation-building activities.
The programmes also reflect the Indian Army’s continued focus on community engagement and youth empowerment in the Northeast, with emphasis on sports, education, vocational skills and career development.
Through such initiatives, the security forces continue to support local communities and encourage young people to pursue their aspirations with confidence, discipline and skills.
