Leh, July 17: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Northern Command, visited the forward areas in Ladakh to review the operational preparedness of formations deployed along the sensitive frontier.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security environment, operational readiness, capability enhancement measures, infrastructure development, and the ongoing integration of advanced technologies to strengthen the overall defence posture in the sector.
A key highlight of the visit was Lieutenant General Sharma's interaction with troops deployed in the high-altitude and challenging terrain of Ladakh. Appreciating their unwavering commitment, exceptional professionalism, and indomitable spirit, he lauded the soldiers for their steadfast dedication in safeguarding the nation's frontiers under extremely demanding weather and operational conditions.
