Rajouri Aug 18: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited forward locations in Poonch and reviewed the operational preparedness of the formation, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining a robust and responsive security posture in the challenging terrain of the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security situation, operational readiness, troop deployment and challenges associated with sustained operations in the rugged and difficult terrain. He reviewed measures being undertaken by the formations to maintain a high state of preparedness and ensure an effective response to emerging security challenges.Lt Gen Pratik Sharma interacted with troops deployed in forward areas and commended them for their professionalism, courage, dedication and resilience. He appreciated the troops for maintaining high morale and mission-readiness while performing their duties under demanding terrain and weather conditions.
The Army Commander emphasised the importance of continued vigilance and a proactive approach towards evolving security challenges. He stressed the need for sustained operational preparedness, effective coordination and enhanced #Synergy among formations and all stakeholders to ensure a swift and coordinated response to any emerging situation.He also exhorted the troops to continuously hone their operational skills, remain adaptable and adopt innovative approaches and modern technologies to further enhance operational effectiveness. He underscored that the high standards of professionalism, discipline and commitment displayed by the troops are vital to maintaining peace and security in the region. The visit provided Lt Gen Pratik Sharma an opportunity to assess ground-level preparedness, interact directly with troops and reinforce the Indian Army’s resolve to remain vigilant, resilient and mission-ready at all times.
