
Kohima, June 14: Lt Gen VMB Krishnan, Army Commander Eastern Command, visited the Headquarters of the Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR) to review the prevailing security environment and operational readiness of forces deployed in the North Eastern region.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the current security situation, ongoing operations, and preparedness measures aimed at safeguarding peace and stability in North East India.
He also interacted with personnel across ranks and appreciated their professionalism, courage, and unwavering dedication in carrying out duties in challenging terrain and operational conditions.
Lt Gen Krishnan exhorted the troops to remain vigilant, adaptive, and mission-focused in view of evolving security challenges in the region. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of operational readiness and continued coordination among security forces to ensure long-term peace and stability.
