Rajouri, Sep 17: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited the Surankote Sector to review the prevailing security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the area.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the ongoing operations and the security measures being undertaken to counter terrorist activities. The briefing covered sustained efforts towards focused targeting of terrorists, strengthening of the joint intelligence framework and enhanced synergy with sister agencies to maintain a robust security posture. Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma also interacted with the troops deployed in the sector and commended them for their professionalism, dedication and commitment while conducting operations in the challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.
The Army Commander appreciated the troops for their high standards of operational preparedness and urged them to continue maintaining vigilance and synergy in all operational tasks.
