Srinagar, Nov 7: Army' Northern Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Saturday visited soldiers deployed at the Siachen Glacier on the eve of Diwali and extended festive greetings to personnel stationed at the world's highest battlefield.

Army said during his interaction with the troops, Lt Gen Sharma conveyed his warm wishes for Diwali and commended their dedication, courage and commitment while serving in the challenging conditions of the glacier.
The Northern Command, in a post on X, said the Army Commander lauded the indomitable spirit of soldiers deployed at the icy heights, where troops continue to perform their duties amid extreme weather and difficult terrain.
"Courage in every step, fortitude in every heart: leadership stands with its troops," Northern Command said in its post.
"Interacting with the brave hearts in the world's highest battlefield, he conveyed warm festive greetings and lauded their indomitable spirit. Amidst unforgiving terrain, the resolve of the Indian Army shines brighter than a thousand lights," the Army said.
