October 15, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Kibithoo, Oct 14: Extending essential healthcare services to communities in remote border areas, a formation under the Spear Corps of the Indian Army conducted medical camps at Desali and Kibithoo in Arunachal Pradesh under Operation Sadbhavna.

The camps aimed to improve access to basic healthcare for villagers living in geographically isolated areas, where access to medical facilities can be challenging. Local residents benefited from essential medical assistance, bringing healthcare services closer to communities in the frontier region.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to support civilian welfare alongside its responsibilities in safeguarding the nation’s borders. Through such outreach programmes, the Army seeks to address the immediate needs of local populations and strengthen its engagement with communities in remote areas.
Operation Sadbhavna focuses on humanitarian assistance and community development, with initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of people living in border regions. Healthcare outreach forms an important part of these efforts, particularly in areas where distance and difficult terrain can limit access to essential services.
The medical camps at Desali and Kibithoo reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to public welfare, accessible healthcare and stronger ties with local communities in Arunachal Pradesh.
