
Rajouri, Oct 26: In a remarkable initiative under Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army successfully organized the Lam Premier League 2.0 Volleyball Tournament at Narian, District Rajouri, promoting youth engagement, sportsmanship, and community harmony.
The second edition of the tournament witnessed 26 teams from across Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, and Srinagar competing in Boys’ and Girls’ categories. After highly competitive league and knockout rounds, Bagnoti Club clinched the Boys’ title while Trikuta Club emerged victorious in the Girls’ category. Winners received cash prizes of ₹50,000, and runners-up ₹30,000, recognizing talent, teamwork, and discipline.
Brigadier R.K. Singh, commander of the 163 Infantry, lauded participants for their dedication, emphasizing that sports build character, resilience, and leadership. Senior Army officials highlighted that the tournament under Operation Sadbhavana not only fosters goodwill but also provides professional coaching and opportunities for promising youth from remote areas.
The final day turned into a festival of unity, with hundreds of spectators cheering for the teams and celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship. Participants expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for creating platforms that channel youth energy into positive activities and open doors for future opportunities.
